Cosmo cover girl Marian Rivera tells detractors: Deadma!

Deadma. That’s how Marian Rivera chooses to deal with detractors, now that she has lasted three years in the crazy world of show business. She tells Cosmopolitan as she graces their cover for the third time in her career, “Hindi talaga lahat ng tao mapi-please mo eh.

Marian has come a long way since she was cast in the sultry and sexy role of Marimar three years ago. Aside from having a string of primetime hits like Dyesebel and Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang to her name, she is now branching out to comedy with People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao in Show Me the Manny and action with the iconic role of Darna.

Work has been good to Marian, and at last, her love life is also settling into a happy place. Real-life love and Cosmo Centerfold Dingdong Dantes is turning out to be her perfect partner. “Ine-enjoy lang naming lahat. Masaya kami sa isa’t isa—ganun ka-open yung relationship namin,” she says.
Should any woman try to steal her man, Marian warns that she is definitely the selosa type, but only with good reason.

Gerald Anderson debuts on Men’s Health Philippines

It’s been four years since we last saw Gerald Anderson inside the PBB house. Who would have thought that his exposure on the show would catapult his career to super stardom? Now at 21 years old, Gerald has successfully transformed himself from teenage heartthrob to one of the country’s most bankable leading men.

So ang mga role na ginawa ko starting sa Tayong Dalawa, mature na, kaya sinabay ko na mag-workout,” shares Gerald, who started to put some muscle to his gangly physique last year.

His Men’s Health debut on the magazine’s 5th Anniversary issue comes at a perfect time. Gerald is at the prime of his career and he’s in the best shape he’s ever been. For his Men’s Health shoot, Gerald bravely hung on rails high above the ground and hopped on walls without a harness.

Surprisingly, unlike other showbiz hunks, Gerald reveals that he dreads going to the gym, “Going to the gym, hindi talaga ako nage-enjoy at all, kahit konti”, but whenever he feels lazy to work out, he thinks of his goals.

Now that his hard work has paid off and it seems like everything is going very well for the young actor, how does he handle the pressure that comes with the job? “It helps. I keep it in mind para mas masipag ako sa gagawin ko. Mas focused, mas seryoso,” he says.
